Summit Academy Tour
The 2012-2013 school year will mark the 20th anniversary of Summit Academy. Since our opening in August 1992, our school has been helping children learn they way they need to. Unfortunately, however, many people in our community still do not know about or understand the unique mission of Summit Academy.
Summit is a school for children grades pre-K through 8 who are having difficulty in mainstream classrooms because of a learning difference such as dyslexia, attention deficit disorder, dysgraphia, etc... We want more people to understand what Summit does for kids like us. We think that Summit Academy is a vital part of our community and that everyone should know about it.
With the 20th year anniversary of the school just ahead, our faculty, administration, parents and students have been thinking about what to do to mark the anniversary. Hopefully, there will be several special events to help commemorate the birth of the school. As students, we think that one of the best things we can do to help commemorate this anniversary would be to help raise awareness of the people in our community about Summit Academy and learning differences. Summit Academy is part of the Middletown economy. This school works to educate the students so that we can become contributing members of our community by providing us with the essential work skills we will need to succeed, despite our learning differences. In order to raise awareness about the work done at Summit Academy, we are planning to host two, one-hour tours. These tours are scheduled for Thursday, March 1 and Tuesday, March 6 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at our school which is located at 11508 Main Street in the heart of historic Middletown.
We would like to extend an invitation to your business associates. Thank and we hope to see you in March!
Sincerely,
